As i stated earlier she owes them. They came out and threatened her and we are worried. They can;t take it from her check cause shes on SSA and SSI. She can't pay a little. She only gets 750.00 a month and she owes 1 345 1 345 and 1 690 so i dont know what to do. I got a lawyer and he told me I couldnt go to jail for it cause im in bankruptcy and i dont know about her.

Generally people don't go to jail for a debt.

Take 5 min. yes/no surveys and get paid for each one that you complete. Great job for stay at home moms and teens to get spending money. Biggest GPT site there is. You WILL get your check!

if they prove she got the money under false pretenses she could or the judge could order he SSI garnished in lieu of jail

Why not just just save up a little money? Lets be honest here you need money as soon as possible and a cash advance loan is the easiest way. : Good luck.

NO, but they will try to make payment arrangments first, thenif they dont get there money they will sue. Call them and make some arrangments. LOL

No, she cannot go to jail for this. Debt is a civil matter, not a criminal one and the only exception would be if fraud was committed.

Her social security benefits cannot be garnished.

Dora E, By my experiences, and alot of serious research, you should only work with established, land-based, payday lenders. Many of them also have on-line sites.

Additionally, do not, borrow from more than one payday lender at a time. This is how many people get into trouble with payday loans, by over extending them selves beyond the qualified amount given by a lender.
